PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

A refined and decorative matching set comprising a console table and wall mirror, both executed in chrome faux-bamboo and representative of the luxury interior aesthetic prevalent in French decorating of the 1970s. The design is in the manner of Maison Baguès, the prestigious Parisian house of decorative metalwork whose faux-bamboo productions were among the most coveted of the period.

Both the console and mirror are constructed from polished chrome tubes with characteristic ringed bamboo-node detailing. The console presents a slim rectangular form with a dark smoked glass top, supported on four faux-bamboo legs connected at the base by a graceful X-form stretcher. The overall construction is precise and elegant, the chrome finish providing a cool, luminous quality.

The matching rectangular mirror is framed in the same faux-bamboo chrome, creating a cohesive wall and console ensemble ideal for a hall or reception room. Together they bring a chic modernist glamour to any interior.

In very good original condition, with bright chrome throughout and the smoked glass undamaged.
