This charming set of three nesting pen pots in straw marquetry represents the finest tradition of French artisanal decorative arts from the interwar period. Crafted circa 1930, each pot is covered in delicate geometric patterning achieved through the ancient technique of straw marquetry, the golden sheen of the flattened and burnished straw creating a warm, lustrous surface of great decorative refinement.
