PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
This coffee table presents a rectangular structure in chromed metal enhanced with gilt brass profiles running in a double rail along the frame and the legs. The corner uprights, of square section, are openwork at a right angle at their base, a graphic detail that lightens the silhouette. The transparent glass top is set into the frame, leaving full legibility to the bicolour play of chrome and gold.
Willy Rizzo (1928–2013), a fashion photographer turned furniture designer, defined in the 1970s an international elegance made of chrome, brass and crisp lines, prized by the jet set between Paris and Rome. This table takes up its most identifiable codes: refined bicolour and impeccable geometry.
Condition report: Good overall condition. Bright chrome and brass with an even gilt patina, glass possibly showing minor surface scratches inherent to use. A chic and timeless coffee table, perfect at the centre of a 1970s drawing room as well as a contemporary interior.
