Square Woven Rope Mirror Attributed to Audoux-Minet

A substantial square mirror in a deeply woven rope frame attributed to Adrien Audoux and Frida Minet, the French design duo whose rope-based furniture and objects defined a distinctly mid-twentieth-century French decorative aesthetic. The frame is constructed in a tight basket-weave pattern using natural rope cord wound around a rigid internal armature, the rounded corners softening the square format into a form that is at once structured and organic.
