PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

This distinguished set of three nesting tables offers a masterclass in the refinement of 1970s French modernism, combining high-quality chrome-plated steel craftsmanship with the period’s signature smoked glass to create an ensemble of considerable decorative impact. Each table is constructed with a distinctive architectural frame composed of multiple parallel chrome-plated steel rods grouped to form each leg and side panel — a treatment that gives the pieces an almost lattice-like sculptural presence while maintaining a clean, open silhouette.

All three tables share the same vocabulary of materials and construction: each upper surface is a deeply tinted charcoal-grey smoked glass panel that sits within the chrome rod frame, providing both a reflective surface and a strong visual anchor. The staggered heights of the three tables, nesting perfectly together, create a dynamic stepped profile when displayed as a group, while each individual table functions equally well as a standalone occasional piece.

The largest of the three measures 48 by 36 centimetres at a height of 41.6 centimetres — generous proportions for a side or nesting table. When deployed individually, the three pieces can be distributed throughout a room to serve different purposes; when grouped together, they form a single coherent sculptural object of great refinement.

In excellent vintage condition, the chrome well preserved and lustrous throughout, the smoked glass panels intact and undamaged. A sophisticated and versatile ensemble that encapsulates the confident glamour of French interior design of the period.
