PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Each nautilus is carved in wood into a regular spiral with prominent partitioned ribs, evoking the natural geometry of the fossil shell; the satin black lacquer catches the light on the edges and accentuates the modelling. The three pieces, of decreasing sizes, each rest on a black-lacquered parallelepiped stand that raises them into cabinet sculptures.

This modern work belongs to the taste for natural-history objects reinterpreted as decorative sculpture, between cabinet of curiosities and contemporary minimalism: the repetition of the motif in three formats creates an almost graphic rhythm.

Condition report: Very good condition. Black lacquer even and deep, with no visible loss. A sculptural set to arrange in a row on a console, a library or a fireplace for an organic and refined note.
