PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
This vide-poche presents a sheet of cognac leather with edges raised and pinched at the four corners, held by brass ball rods that draw the basket. The saddle stitching underlines the border, and the bottom bears the “i Santi” mark hot-stamped with the inscription made in Italy.
The marriage of saddle-stitched leather and brass refers directly to the aesthetic of Jacques Adnet, the great French decorator of the 1950s famous for his topstitched leather sheathing; this Italian production of the house i Santi fully belongs to this spirit, with the quality of tanning specific to transalpine leatherwork.
Condition report: Good overall condition. Supple leather with a beautiful nuanced cognac patina, sound stitching, slightly patinated brass balls. A chic accessory for an entrance, a desk or a bedside table, where it will hold keys and small objects.
