PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Each candlestick consists of three chrome metal tubes curved in a U, joined at the base and rising in a corolla at slightly staggered heights. Each arm ends in a wide flat circular bobèche, centred with a socket intended to receive the candle. The design, reduced to the pure curve of the tube, gives the pair a very pared-down graphic elegance.

This organic and stripped-down writing of chrome metal belongs to the Scandinavian and French production of the 1950s, which renewed tableware through fluid and functional forms, far from ornament, in the spirit of post-war modernist design.

Condition report: Good general condition. Even chrome plating showing a slight grey patina and some micro-scratches from use. A sculptural pair of candlesticks, perfect on a festive table or a contemporary mantelpiece.
