PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
This round bar cart stacks three clear glass tiers set within brass rings, each underscored by a fine openwork gallery with repeated arcaded motifs. The fluted uprights, punctuated by turned rings and dotted with brass balls at the top tier, rest on four original castors that ensure the mobility of the piece.
This typology of round trolley with finely pierced galleries allows this French work of the 1950s to be stylistically associated with the productions of Maison Jansen, the great Parisian decorating house founded in 1880, supplier to royal courts, whose small occasional pieces in brass and glass are among the most sought-after.
Condition report: Good overall condition. Brass with a fine uniform gilded patina, glass possibly showing likely surface micro-scratches inherent to use, working castors. A refined trolley for serving or as a side table, in a living room as in a dining room.
