PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
This console features a quadrangular metal structure with a gunmetal patina, whose straight uprights are underlined by fine gilt brass fillets that give rhythm to the whole. Two smoked glass tiers — one in the upper part, the other forming a low shelf — are set within the frames, offering a double display surface while preserving great transparency.
The contrast of the burnished gunmetal metal and the gilt brass, combined with smoked glass, is one of the signatures of French furniture of the 1970s, in the spirit of the production of Maison Jansen and the modern neoclassical current that favours straight lines and precious materials.
Condition report: Good general condition. Metal with a fine, even patina, luminous brass fillets, the smoked glass possibly showing probable surface micro-scratches inherent to use. An elegant and graphic console, perfect in an entrance hall or behind a sofa.
