PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
This pair of wall sconces combines a brass structure with glass globes, a composition characteristic of 1970s lighting. French work, circa 1970. Each sconce measures 35.5 cm wide, 17 cm deep and 25.3 cm high. The brass brings its golden sheen while the glass globes give off a soft, enveloping light. Following on from mid-century design, the 1970s cultivated simple geometric forms, the sphere first among them, and contrasting combinations of materials. Offered as a pair, these sconces lend themselves to a symmetrical arrangement on either side of a bed, a mirror or a console table, and sit equally well in a vintage interior or a contemporary setting.
