PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
This chandelier is organised around a large central tole pineapple with a body cross-hatched in relief, surmounted by a plume of falling leaves that reaches the gadrooned ceiling cup. Six scroll arms escape from it, dressed with long tapering leaves of cut tole, and carry faux-candle cups set on serrated cups. The whole is treated in a cream patina shaded with silver of the finest effect.
The pineapple motif, a symbol of hospitality, and the naturalistic work of the cut tole are characteristic of Italian workshops of the 1970s, which revisited the Neoclassical decorative repertoire with fantasy, in a spirit close to the productions of Maison Charles or the Florentine tole-makers.
