PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
This chandelier presents itself as a suspended bush: a metal cage structure entirely dressed with foliage in cut and painted tole in shades of green, among which white porcelain roses blossom. The light arms, concealed beneath the foliage, carry faux dripping candles, and the attachment crown in cut leaves is extended by a gilt chain.
This work of flowered painted tole with porcelain is a speciality of Italian workshops of the 1950s, heir to the tole bouquets of the 18th century; each leaf cut and veined by hand gives the luminaire the freshness of a garden arbour.
Condition report: Good overall condition. Nuanced green paint well preserved, porcelain flowers present, possible micro-chips inherent to this type of production. Electricity checked by an electrician. A poetic chandelier for a bedroom, a veranda or a dining room of rustic spirit.
