PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Neoclassical coffee table in wood, brass and leather. The three materials answer one another: the warmth of the wood, the gleam of the brass and the texture of the leather form a sober, balanced whole, true to the neoclassical spirit. Circa 1940.
In the 1930s and 1940s, a revisited neoclassicism readily combined wood, brass and leather, traditional materials of living-room and library furniture, in pared-down lines. This coffee table belongs to that tradition, between classical elegance and modern restraint. Placed in front of a sofa or between two armchairs, it offers a practical surface for books, magazines and objects, and suits a classical interior as well as a more contemporary setting.
