Large Chromed Coffee Table

Large chromed coffee table. Through its proportions and the gleam of its chrome finish, it stands as a centrepiece of the living room, catching the light and reflecting the colours of the room. Circa 1970.

Chrome is one of the characteristic materials of 1970s furniture, a decade marked by a taste for shiny surfaces, clean lines and industrial materials brought into the domestic sphere. This coffee table belongs to that aesthetic and suits a contemporary interior as well as a more classical setting. Placed in front of a large sofa or at the centre of a seating area, it offers a broad surface for books, objects and serving trays.
