PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

The circular top in black lacquered glass, with a deep polish, is encircled by a brass openwork gallery with finely pierced egg motifs. Four fluted uprights, ending in bun feet, are braced by an X-shaped stretcher centred on a gadrooned pinecone finial, the decorative signature of the whole.

This Neoclassical vocabulary — openwork gallery, fluting, X-shaped stretcher with finial — is emblematic of Maison Baguès, the Parisian reference in gilt bronze and brass since the 19th century, whose coffee tables of the 1940s rank among the classics most sought-after by decorators.

Condition report: Good overall condition. Brass with a beautiful even gilt patina, black glass. An elegant and contrasting coffee table, which will structure a living room with great style.
