PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

This large two-tier coffee table is a characteristic example of French design in the 1970s, when the combination of polished chrome and warm brass accents became a defining feature of the luxury interior. The brass ball corner details — precisely cast spheres positioned at the junctions of the chrome frame members — introduce a note of decorative punctuation that animates the otherwise clean geometric composition, recalling a device widely employed by leading French designers of the decade.

The rectangular frame, flat and linear in its construction, supports two generously proportioned glass shelves that float within the chrome border with an almost architectural clarity. The lower shelf, slightly set back within the frame, creates a subtle visual depth, while the upper surface provides a generous area for display and daily use. The overall effect is one of confident, understated luxury.

At 120 centimetres in length, the table has the scale to anchor a generous seating arrangement, its horizontal emphasis and reflective materials drawing and dispersing light in equal measure. It reads with equal conviction in a period interior furnished with bronzes and lacquerwork as in a pared-back contemporary setting.

In good vintage condition overall. Both glass shelves present and intact. The chrome and brass retain their original quality.
