PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

This large modernist coffee table embodies the reductive formal language that defined the most progressive French furniture design of the 1970s. The triple-bar leg structure — each corner resolved through three parallel chrome tubes rather than a single post — introduces a subtle but decisive note of visual complexity into what might otherwise read as simple rectilinearity, creating a rhythm of light and reflection that animates the piece from every angle.

The large clear glass top rests within the chrome frame with admirable simplicity, while the lower register provides a secondary surface of equal transparency, reinforcing the table’s dematerialised quality and contributing spatial depth to the ensemble. The overall impression is of a piece conceived by an architect or industrial designer: rigorously functional, yet possessed of a formal elegance that transcends pure utility.

At 126 centimetres in length, the table commands the centre of a room with quiet authority. Its scale and proportions are ideally suited to a generous salon or living room, where it can serve as the organisational hub of the seating arrangement.

In good vintage condition overall. Glass top and lower shelf present and intact. Chrome in good condition.
