PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
A black lacquered design umbrella stand, made circa 1970. Its compact, vertical and unornamented form brings out the lacquered finish, whose deep black surface gives this utilitarian object a graphic presence. Its small footprint allows it to stand in an entrance hall, a cloakroom or at the foot of a coat rack.
The 1970s saw many everyday objects rethought by design, which gave them clean lines and careful finishes.
